Goddamn.

This woman looks great and she’s a “plus-size” model. She’s not a petite girl, but she’s height-weight proportionate and clearly healthy; I dig that. I’m all for people (men and women) being comfortable in their own skin and not feeling obligated to meet absurd standards foisted upon us by the media industry. That said, fat people people are not attractive, and haven’t been for a long, long, long time (Peter Paul Rubens died in 1640).

It seems to me that 90% of the women complaining about unfair body standards are clearly overweight. They’ll post something on FB about how big women are beautiful too, and then post something about delicious cookies. You know what? Put the fucking cookies down. I don’t feel obligated to pretend like you’re attractive if you’re stuffing your face with empty calories (sugar, fat), don’t exercise regularly, and have a muffin top. I also don’t feel the need to indulge whining about how society is treating you unfairly because the women in your fashion magazine aren’t shaped like goddamn pears. Enjoy a sensible diet, exercise regularly; if you end up looking like this woman and aren’t a size 0 then everyone will be happy. To be clear: healthy = great, obese = bad.
